Travelling Light…
Travel photography is a loose term - and like all loose terms, open to interpretation. As a genre it can weave its way through landscape, street photography and photojournalism and be all or none of these things.
Ultimately it comes down to self expression. How to relate to people through photography and how to evoke a sense of time and place through photography - whether I’m with scousers on Merseyside or hipsters on Venice Beach.
On all my journeys I used available light and travelled light. One camera, two prime lenses - and a mobile phone. Less kit, more focus.
